VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

• Board of Trustees - The Board is the spiritual covering of Ashland Care Center and is directly responsible for the financial and spiritual well being of the ministry.  Specifically, they oversee the Director and focus on the stability and direction of the ministry.  Prerequisite: Application and interview by special request.  Time requirement: 8-12 hours per month which includes monthly board meetings, participation on at least one committee, and attendance at special events.
• Client Advocate - Reach out to women with the compassion of Christ by offering practical assistance as a one-on-one caring helper.  Client advocates listen, educate and provide a source of physical, emotional and spiritual help to women and their families.  Time requirement: 4 hours per week. 
• Client Supporter - You will serve as a friend and sister in Christ to individual clients and be a companion to them as they view educational DVD's on pregnancy and parenting.  Time requirement: 2-4 hours per week.
• Church Liaison - Be the connection between Ashland Care Center and your church.  Church liaisons provide the contact to their home church for the Annual LifeWalk, Fundraising Banquet, Baby Bottle Drive and Sanctity of Human Life Sunday.
• M&M's - Volunteers take a meal to a mom (ACC client) who just gave birth to help with the adjustment in the first days of being home with a new baby.  Time requirement: 1-2 meals per month.
• Special Events - Assist with planning, administrating and facilitating our annual fundraising events.  Special events workers help with the planning and coordination of the Annual Fundraising Banquet in the spring, LifeWalk in the fall and the Baby Bottle Drive throughout the year.  Time requirement: varies depending on the event. 
• Receptionist/Office - Assist with answering phones, scheduling client appointments and other general office duties as needed.  Time requirement: 1-4 hours per week.
• Baby Boutique Assistant - Like baby clothing?  This is the job for you!  Sort baby clothes and help the clients shop.  the boutique is open on Thursdays from noon-5pm.  Time requirement: 2-3 hours per week.
• Bulk Mailing - Assist in the preparation of bulk mailings for the ministry by collating, sorting and counting.  Time availability to come to the office 4-6 times per year.  
• Landscaper - Cut grass, trim bushes and pull weeds as necessary once a week during warmer months.  Time requirement: 1-2 hours a week. 
• Snow Removal - Plow parking lot and shovel sidewalk during the winter months before Center opens.  Time requirement:  As needed.
• Office Cleaning - General office cleaning once a week - after hours.  Time requirement: 2-3 hours per week.  
• Prayer Partner - Become a part of our prayer warrior team by praying for specific needs of the ministry as they arise. 
• Financial Supporter - All gifts are tax deductible. Make checks payable to Ashland Care Center or donate online
